Our efforts to flip the U,S. Senate to a Democratic Majority reside now with the voters of Georgia as they prepare for the January 5th run-off for the TWO Georgia Senate Seats. If Democrats Jon Ossoff and Rev. Rafael Warnock win these run-off elections the U.S. Senate will be 50 D and 50-R, and Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris would become the tie-breaking vote if one was needed.
All Swing Left efforts to support these races is being led by the troops on the ground who got us this far.

Kamala Harris has lived the American dream.
Being raised in a modest middle class home of immigrant parents in Oakland California, Kamala was exposed to many inequities early in life which had a lasting impression on her. Having been a young witness of civil rights injustices and rallying actions around them, she was inspired to dedicate her career to righting the wrongs, and fighting the fight for "the people".
Her meteoric rise began in the California courtrooms, becoming the CA Attorney General, and a U.S. Senator, and most recently, President Biden's pick to be the 46th Vice President of the United States. Her successful work with President Biden has been historic in so many ways by being a national advocate for abortion and reproductive healthcare rights, to reducing the cost of insulin for Americans. She is now running for President of the United States to represent the American people in a vigorous defense of our freedoms and Democracy. Her candidacy is critical against an Ex-President who wants to avoid prison and who would discard the U.S. Constitution in the pursuit of an autocratic system of governing.

US Senate Election
Ruben Gallego has served his country in many ways. He seeks to be Arizona’s next Democratic U.S. Senator.
Raised in a single parent immigrant home with three sisters. Worked as a janitor, cook & meat-packing plant while in school to support his family. Only family member to have attended & graduated from Harvard University.
Honorably served in the Marine Corps in Iraq in 2005. Served as the AZ House of Representatives for 4 years. Has been serving in the U.S. House of Representatives for AZ CD3 the past 10 years. Has dedicated his public service to areas of Water Conservation, Military Affairs, expanding Medicaid, and in-state tuition for Veterans.
He is a defender of democratic principles and wants to continue public service in the U.S. Senate.

Swing Left (SL) is a grassroots, national organization committed to strengthening our democracy by helping Democrats win up-and-down the ballot, especially in Arizona and other battleground states. Together, Swing Left Maricopa County (SLMC) is uniquely positioned to have a big impact on the all-important 2024 election from local to national campaigns.
Be part of our active, energized, volunteer community as we strive to achieve our shared local, state, and national political goals! SLMC will offer informative, engaging, and enjoyable “C.A.L.L.” Zoom events — featuring CANDIDATES, ACTIONS, LEARNING and “LIGHTING YOUR FIRE” to help get the word out for the candidates and initiatives. Actions will include registering new Democratic voters, writing postcards, texting, phone-banking, canvassing, Getting Out The Voters to achieve “big D “and “small d” victories here in Arizona.

OUR MISSION
Swing Left Maricopa connects activists to the most impactful actions in support of Democratic candidates in the most flippable districts and offices throughout Maricopa County and at every level of government.
In 2021, we will also focus on providing information about the work and process of the Arizona Independent Redistricting Commission and helping the public provide meaningful and timely input into the process.
